The Works Department of Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.; invited Iznik Foundation as the designer, producer and nominated subcontractor to supply and install traditional Iznik tiles, decorated with Islamic patterns in the niches of the Mosque commemorating “Sheikh Zayed” – Founder and leader of the United Arab Emirates. It is the 3rd largest Mosque of the Muslim world and can host 30.000 people. All the very best of Islamic decorative elements have been procured for the inetrior decoration. A mass of white marble is livened with patches of color, provided with Iznik tiled panels – “chini” niche panels.
