Bayburt Governorate’s Provincial Tourism Directorate has initiated a comprehensive restoration of Bayburt Castle to promote tourism. As part of this project, the tiles on the castle walls were produced by the İznik Foundation.

These tiles were crafted by experts at the İznik Foundation, faithfully reflecting the shapes, patterns, and colors of the Seljuk period. This ensures that the castle preserves its historical character while offering visitors an aesthetic experience.

A book was also published to document the restoration process and record the work carried out.

Bayburt Castle stands out as an important project for preserving our historical heritage and supporting cultural tourism.
