The 1957 tile patterns once hidden within the walls of Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus have been meticulously brought back to light through the careful restoration work of EMR Mimarlık.
Recovered from layers of history, these distinctive ceramic motifs symbolize strength, abundance, and good fortune, reconnecting the building’s architectural legacy with the present day.
As part of the restoration process, the tiles were faithfully reproduced by İznik Vakfı, adhering to original techniques and traditional patterns. This approach ensured that the refined aesthetics of historical craftsmanship were preserved while meeting contemporary standards.
The project reflects a deep respect for cultural heritage, where architectural conservation goes beyond physical restoration to embrace the responsibility of transmitting historical identity to future generations.
This special work is respectfully dedicated to the memory of Sedad Hakkı Eldem.
